FORMOSAT-7 was launched at the Kennedy Space Center of the United States at 2:30 p.m. on June 25 (Taiwan Time) by the SpaceX's Falcon Heavy launch vehicle. Around 91-107 minutes after the launch, the FORMOSAT-7 satellite were successfully separated from the rocket and deployed into a 720 km circular parking orbit with inclination angle of 24 degrees.
The mission operations team at National Space Organization (NSPO) received the state vectors of the satellites after separation from SpaceX's Falcon Heavy and passed the satellite's two-line element (TLE) information to the Darwin ground station located in Australia.
FORMOSAT-7 satellites were successfully contacted first time by the Darwin Ground Station in Australia around 173 minutes after the separation from the rocket. Six FORMOSAT-7 satellites orbiting at 720 kilometers could be contacted by the ground stations in Taiwan since then.
